Roughly 50 kilometers from Guatemala City, you'll find Finca El Socorro, a well-known coffee producer owned by Juan Diego. El Socorro is one of the most award-winning estates in all of Guatemala and offers unsurpassed beauty in the highlands of Central Guatemala. The Maracaturra varietal is the estate's most famous, winning more top 3 Cup Of Excellence awards than any other coffee. Maracaturra is notoriously challenging to grow with a remarkably low yield. It is also considerably more difficult to process since the beans are gigantic!
